“Active Transport”

To prepare for our region's growth, combat traffic congestion and protect our lifestyle, Council is implementing travel change programs and future transport solutions, with funding provided from the Transport Levy.

Council is planning to upgrade Sugar Road and Maud Street, which together form one of the main routes into the Sunshine Coast's growing city centre. After listening to community feedback, Council has released an Updated Concept Design.

Council is committed to developing a transport system that services our rapidly growing region – without putting more cars on the road. Residents can have their say about Active Transport by completing an online survey.
